Find Your Computers Audio Settings

This is not for your "microphone" settings as these can be changed from within Mable but this guide instead covers the sounds coming from your computer.

Windows

  1. Open up the start menu by clicking on the windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
  2. When the menu opens, start typing ‘Sound’ on the keyboard and open the sound control panel.
  3. In the sound control panel make sure you are in the ‘Playback’ section and click the properties button.
  4. Select ‘levels’ from the properties menu and make sure the audio output volume control is turned up.

Chrome OS/Chromebook

  1. Click on the menu bar in the bottom right of the computer screen, where it displays the time, internet connection and battery status of your Chromebook.
  2. This will open a small menu containing a speaker/audio icon.
  3. Next to the speaker/audio icon is volume control. Make sure the volume control slider is all the way to the right.

Apple Computer

  1. In the top right corner of the screen, there should be a sound/audio icon, click on the sound icon and a small menu will appear. ( if you cannot see your computer's menu bar at the top of the screen, try moving your mouse to the top of the screen ). If you still cannot see the sound/audio icon at the top of your screen, press 'CMD' and the spacebar on your keyboard at the same time. In the spotlight search that appears, type 'Sound' and press enter.
  2. When the sound settings open make sure you are on the 'Output' menu and select the headphones/speakers you would like to use from the menu.
  3. At the bottom of the sound settings box will be a volume control slider labelled 'Output Volume'. Make sure volume control is slid to the right and the 'mute' checkbox next to the volume control is not ticked.

IPad / Tablet

If you are using an Ipad or a tablet, you should have a volume button on the side of your device.
