How To Force-Quit Google Chrome

Sometimes the Chrome browser can have a few issues with sound and webcams - here's how to fully restart.

Windows

  1. Press: Ctrl + Shift + Esc
  2. This will open Task Manager.
  3. Select Google Chrome from the list of applications.
  4. Click End Task to force Chrome to close.
  5. Reopen Chrome, log back into Mable, and rejoin your session from the homepage.

Mac / Apple Computer

  1. Press: Cmd + Option + Esc
  2. This will open the Force Quit Applications window.
  3. Select Google Chrome from the list.
  4. Click Force Quit.
  5. Reopen Chrome, sign back into Mable, and rejoin your session.

ChromeOS/Chromebook

  1. Close all Chrome windows and tabs.
  2. If Chrome is unresponsive, restart your Chromebook by:
    • clicking the clock in the bottom-right corner,
    • selecting the power icon,
    • and then turning the Chromebook back on.
  3. Open Chrome again, sign back into Mable, and rejoin your session.
