How To Force-Quit Google Chrome

Sometimes the Chrome browser can have a few issues with sound and webcams - here's how to fully restart.

Windows

  1. Press ‘Ctrl’ + ‘Shift’ + ‘Esc’ keys on your keyboard all at the same time. 
  2. This will open your computer’s Task Manager ( showing every application currently running on your computer ). 
  3. Right-click on ‘Google Chrome’ and it should open a menu of options, click ‘End Task’ from the menu. This will force chrome to shut down.
  4. Re-open Google Chrome, log back into Mable and re-join your session using the join button on the homepage. 

Apple Computer

  1. Press ‘Cmd‘ + ‘alt’ + ‘ESC' ( 'Cmd + 'Option' + 'ESC' on newer Apple computers ) keys on your keyboard all at the same time.
  2. This will open your computer’s Task Manager. ( showing every application currently running on your computer ). 
  3. Select ‘Google Chrome’ from the task manager menu.
    Click the ‘force quit’ button located on the bottom right of the task manager box.
  4. Now, open google chrome again, logs back into Mable and re-join your session using the join session button on your Mable homepage.

Chrome Computer

  1. Press ‘Shift’ + ‘Escape’ keys on your keyboard all at the same time.
  2. This will open your computer’s task manager. ( showing every application currently running on your computer ). 
  3. Select ‘Google Chrome’ and click the ‘End Process’ button located on the bottom right of the task manager box.
  4. Now, open google chrome again, logs back into Mable and re-join your session using the join session button on your Mable homepage.
